Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

NoDex is a DJ app for phones and tablets, made by Josh O'Malley in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information NoDex and nodexdj.com use, and why. The short version: NoDex has no accounts and no ads, and your music never leaves your device.

Your music, recordings and settings

The tracks you load, the mixes you record, your cue points, beat grids, favourites and settings are stored only on your device. We never upload them, and we can't see them. Deleting NoDex (or clearing its data) deletes them.

When you share a recording, it goes only where you choose to send it, using your device's own share menu.

Crash reports and usage statistics

To find and fix bugs, the NoDex app sends a crash report if something goes wrong: what failed in the app, the app version, your device model and operating system. It doesn't include your name, your email, your music or your recordings.

If you allow it in Settings, NoDex also sends anonymous usage statistics, such as which features are used and how long a mix lasts, so we know what to improve. These aren't linked to you or used to track you across other apps or websites, and you can switch them off at any time.

These are processed for us by [CRASH REPORTING PROVIDER] and [ANALYTICS PROVIDER], who may only use them to provide their service to us. Crash reports are kept for [90 days].

The NoDex mailing list

If you sign up on nodexdj.com, we keep your email address to tell you about NoDex: the launch, new features and new music. We use Kit (kit.com) to send these emails. You'll be asked to confirm your address first, and every email has an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share your email address.

This website and the web version

nodexdj.com and the web version of NoDex are hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers briefly log technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep them secure. The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. The website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Emails to us

If you email us (hello@ or support@nodexdj.com), we use what you send only to reply and to help you, and we delete it when it's no longer needed.

Legal basis

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR), we use crash reports because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the app working, usage statistics and the mailing list because you agreed to them, and your emails to reply to you.

Children

NoDex isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@nodexdj.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
