Getting started

How do I load a track?

Tap a deck's tile at the top (blue for deck A, pink for deck B) and pick from Recent, Favourites or Demos, or tap Browse files to choose a track saved on your phone. NoDex plays MP3, WAV, AAC/M4A and FLAC files up to 20 minutes long.

What does the green node mean?

The node shows how the beats of the two tracks line up. Drag the incoming track's waveform (or tap SYNC) until the node sits on the white line and turns green: the beats are locked.

Can I see the guide again?

Yes: Settings › Help › Quick tour.

BPM, key and beat grid

The BPM is half or double what it should be

Hold the BPM on the deck tile to open the keypad and tap ÷2 or ×2 (the amber buttons). This corrects how the BPM reads without changing how fast the track plays, and NoDex remembers it for that track.

The beat grid isn't on the kick

Pause, drag the waveform until a kick sits on the white line, then hold the waveform (or use Set beat grid here in the BPM keypad). That point becomes beat 1, and NoDex remembers it for that track.

Why is there a dash instead of a key?

NoDex only shows a key when it's confident about it. A dash means the reading was too close to call, which can happen with tracks that change key or are mostly drums.

Sound

The visuals are out of time with what I hear on Bluetooth

Bluetooth headphones and speakers add a delay. Go to Settings › Audio › Latency test and tap along with the clicks; NoDex then lines the visuals up with what you hear.

There's no sound

Check your phone's volume and that it isn't connected to a speaker or headphones you're not using. On the web version on iPhone, make sure the ringer switch isn't on silent.

Recordings, cues and your data

Where do my recordings go?

When you stop recording, NoDex shows a share sheet: save the mix to your files or send it straight to an app. Only share mixes of music you have the rights to share.

Can I back up my cue points?

Yes: Settings › Library › Back up cues saves them to a file, and Restore cues brings them back (on the same or a new phone).

Does NoDex upload my music?

No. Your music, recordings and cues stay on your device. See the privacy policy.

Still need help?

Email support@nodexdj.com with your phone model and what happened (a screenshot helps). If NoDex shows a "Something went wrong" screen, tap Details and include that text too.
